This was going to be a Facebook post….but it was too long lol I don’t know why I go there instead of here first lol Anyways…some encouragement below.
Enjoy.
I was sitting here pondering about the story of Esther, and how she boldly came before the king in efforts to save her people. She asked her people to join her in a 3 day fast to obtain favor from the Lord.
Honestly, I really don’t think she would’ve had the courage to do what she did had she not remembered the favor God placed on her life leading her up to the position that she was now in. She was chosen from the moment she was born. Her parents died which placed her in her Uncle’s house, which then placed her among the group of women to be a prospect for the king.
Out of HUNDREDS of beautiful young women, Esther caught Hegai’s eye and found favor with him. She was given special treatments which probably only ENHANCED the beauty she already possessed. She was given seven of the best maids FROM the king’s palace who were able to teach her, take care of her, and show her the ins and outs of what it was like to be queen, to find favor with the king. When she finally went in to see the king, the word says,
“And the king loved Esther more than any of the young women. He was so delighted with her that he set the royal crown on her head and declared her queen instead of Vashti.” (Esther 2:17)
God’s hand was CLEARLY on Esther, and when trouble came for her people, in her time of distress, when Mordecai told her,
“Who knows if perhaps you were made queen for just such a time as this?”(Esther 4:14, emp),
all of those instances of favor flooded her mind that God has been for her this whole time and has brought her this far for this very reason.
Of course this is a beautiful story of favor, boldness, and God’s faithfulness. One that we’ve heard time after time after time again. But today…I don’t really know what really struck my attention with it but it encourages me to really look back over my life and see how God’s hand has been over me even before being in my mother’s womb. The purpose that was set in place over my life before I was born, the particular genes mixed together from my parents and generations before me all to create ME, the schools I went to, the people I grew up around, the good and BAD situations I was placed in….all leading to today.
Perhaps I was made the woman that I am today for just such a time as this?
Perhaps you were made the person that you are today for just such a time as this?
Perhaps nothing happened by accident. Perhaps every mistake you made, the parents that were given to you or taken away, becoming a mom at age 19 (my story), that broken heart or several broken hearts, that abusive relationship, that layoff, that accident, that sickness…
Perhaps it all really happened for your good. For someone else’s good. For the good of God’s purpose for your life!
I really don’t know who this is for. It may just be me but that is okay. Whatever situation you are in right now…God is still in control. You may be scared, nervous, and hopeless that nothing will change. Hopeless because you feel like there is nothing that you can do (so you think). I want to encourage you by saying, God’s hand is on your life! It always has been and it always will be. Everything that you went through, everything that you’re going through is just a small piece of a big, beautiful puzzle that God is putting together for you. God knows it can get hard. He knows that with our finite minds that things seem too big for us to handle. The great thing about God though is that He doesn’t ever ask us to put the puzzle together ourselves. Esther fasted because she knew that this situated was MUCH bigger than her, but she also knew that God created her for it. And if He created her for it, He was going to help her accomplish it.
Stop trying to go through life by yourself. In the word it says that “
You can make many plans, but the LORD’s purpose will prevail. (Proverbs 19:21 NLT)
God’s plan is going to happen regardless if you like it or not. Lol There’s nothing you can do about it. So why not join Him in your journey and allow Him to help you through? It’ll make life so much easier and more peaceful, I promise!
Anyways, that’s my little spill of encouragement. Take some time to look back and see that God has been with you since the day before time and that He won’t ever leave you hanging. He loves you. He cares for you and He wants to see you through. Allow Him to do that and keep moving forward.
Keep Shining Supernaturally!
Love you bunches!
